Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Many Brokers will testify, that “teachers make the best real estate agents.” Why? Because selling real estate to families is a process and all teachers learn to teach using an organized process. They set goals and  objectives. Teachers explain things clearly, are good listeners, and great organizers. They all care and love what they do. Teacher also have proven success rates because they are held accountable for student success. I have thirteen years of teaching experience, (having taught English, Speech, Journalism, Reading, Computer Literacy and Debate). I also have two years experience working in higher level education as a retruiter and transcript evaluator. I am presently a member of the Frederick County Associaton of Realtors Education Committee. I am certified to teach in Maryland and Texas, and as a certified real estate salesperson in Maryland, I take it upon my self to educate my clients on how to buy or how to sell, as well.
I am an
Educator:
No kidding! Well the fact of the matter is, of all the agents who try to succeed, some just don't seem to have the salesmanship, the drive, or the abilities needed to succeed in a very tough marketplace. This business, is volatile, highly competative, highly regulated and heavily based on relationships. I am not one of those agents "lacking the knack." I not only have the knack, I have the financial resources needed to invest in my listings and advertisements.  I have twelve years sales experience, six of them selling life insurance, and one year selling educational programs to nontraditional professionals for Averett University.
I am a

I am
Service
Oriented:
Not only have I taken and passed the coursework required to obtain my real estate salesperson license, I have gone further than the average salesperson. I have taken college classes in real estate studying Real Estate Fundamentals, Real Estate Marketing and Real Estate Law. To better myself at my job, my eduation is still continuing. I am currently seeking my GRI certification. The GRI is a master’s degree in real estate. When I complete my coursework, I will be taking the Broker’s exam to become an associate broker in the Frederick Real Estate Group, LLC office. I should earn my GRI designation by late Summer 2007 and have my associate brokers license by July 2008.
Real Estate sales is a people person career and agents rely mostly on referrals from previous clients. To have happy clients and receive referrals, an agent must service clients well. My cleints stay happy because when I work with them. There are no surprises. I educate my clients  about the buying and selling processes. I keep communication flowing by being upfront and honest with them. I always put my client's needs before my own and look out for their best interest. My status as a Realtor means I belong to the National Association of Realtors a professional organization I pay several hundred dollars in dues each year to belong to it. It is an organization with its own Code of Ethics which holds me to perform with high standards. This ensures my clients that I take my duties seriously. I want to be the best I can be in my career.
